Rozmawia Roman Fedorczuk, Prezes Footgolf Poland.
To w głównej mierze osoby młodsze potrafiące kopać piłkę. W nich jest potencjał pozostania nowymi golfistami. Liczba osób potrafiących grać w piłkę nożną w naszym regionie sięga miliona w różnym wieku. Potencjał rozwojowy jest więc bardzo duży.
Jakie plany związane z FootGolfem w sezonie 2015?
Interview with William Siwek, Postołowo Golf & Country Club
Interviewed by Roman Fedorczuk - President Footgolf Poland.
Almost a year passed after installing footgolf holes at your Postolowo golf course.
How was this period?
The idea of introduction a new discipline we really liked as an extension of our company offer. From the beginning, we notice a group of people not related to golf willing to try their skills and every week the group was growing. Enough people were blown away by this new discipline so as to create the FootGolf League, having weekly tournaments.
Will the new holes collide with golf holes?
They are located in completely different places than golf flags, outside the greens so it does not present a conflict with golfers. At the same time the golfer can play and footgolfers.
Whether the surface after the game of footgolfers is destroyed?
Much less than after passing golfers. There is no grass damaged after being hit with a golf club and they use shoes without spikes.
How golfer received this innovation?
Many members of our club have tried this new discipline, and some decided to practice it regularly. Especially those little ones are delighted.
Polish National Football team visited your club, what was their footgolf experience?
At the beginning they were very skeptical, but after playing a round admitted that this is not an easy sport and it is very good as a supplement to the training, especially in the accuracy of short passes.
Anybody outside the local people are interested in footgolf?
We recently hosted a team from London representing Bloomberg (Business Publishing). They booked footgolf field well in advance and were delighted with our offer. This season, we hope to see more often footgolfers from Europe, especially those participating in the "European Golf Tour," but also amateurs intending to visit Gdansk as a tourist.
Are the financial footgolf proceeds rival with golf?
In some months, even higher. But the most important aspect is that FootGolf is directed to a completely different group than golf. It's mostly younger people, able to kick the ball. In them is a potential new golfers to stay. The number of people who can play football in our region reaches a million in different ages. Development potential is so large.
What are the plans for the season 2015?
Continuation of the League, which was created in the previous year, to promote Footgolf on a larger scale at the local and international levels. Organization of Polish Championships and International competitions "FootGolf Poland International Championship" in September. It reflects on the organization of the Polish edition of the "European FootGolf Tour". Actively to this end, we are working on obtaining financial partners, it would be an excellent opportunity to promote the region and the city to actively and financially independent group that may have to visit the Tri City.
